On 18 December 2025, we participated in Verona in the final event of the European project PASS4CORE 2 and the launch event of PASS4CORE 3, hosted by Consorzio ZAI – Quadrante Europa.
The two projects, co-funded by the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) programme, are dedicated to the development of Safe and Secure Truck Parking Areas (SSTPAs) along the TEN-T corridors, with the aim of improving safety, service quality and operational conditions for road freight transport.
The initiative represented an important opportunity for discussion among freight villages, logistics operators, parking area managers and sector stakeholders on the results achieved within PASS4CORE 2 and the future perspectives of the new PASS4CORE 3 phase.
Throughout the day, several strategic topics were addressed, including safety and management of parking areas, SSTPA certification, investment models, opportunities offered by European funding programmes, and cooperation between public and private stakeholders to strengthen intermodal logistics.
