On 5–6 June 2026, the Wellbeing Days took place at Truck Park Brescia Est, organised by ESPORG – European Secure Parking Organisation within the framework of the European Wellbeing Initiative (EWELLIN). The event focused on professional drivers’ wellbeing and on the strategic role of safe and secure parking infrastructure for road freight transport.
We participated as speakers, representing the PASS4CORE initiatives together with other project partners. During the session dedicated to secure parking infrastructure, the objectives and achievements of the PASS4CORE projects, co-funded by the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) Programme, were presented, highlighting their contribution to the development of a network of Safe and Secure Truck Parking Areas (SSTPAs) along the TEN-T corridors.
The panel discussion brought together logistics operators, infrastructure managers, public authorities and European stakeholders to address key challenges facing the sector, including the shortage of secure parking capacity, cargo security, drivers’ wellbeing and the role of SSTPAs in improving the efficiency and resilience of the European logistics network. The event once again demonstrated the importance of cooperation among institutions, infrastructure operators and European projects in advancing safer, more efficient and driver-oriented transport infrastructure.
