GRETA project: roundtable on pilot actions

On 18 February 2026, within the Urban Mobility and Logistics Conference 2026 in Bologna, we had the pleasure to moderate the session “From pilot actions to practice: Results and future pathways from GRETA’s FUAs”, organised as part of the activities foreseen under Deliverable D.3.3.2 of the GRETA Project.

The roundtable brought together representatives from the project’s Functional Urban Areas – Budapest, Maribor, Poznań, Reggio Emilia and Verona – who presented the pilot actions implemented in their cities and shared the main results achieved.

During the discussion, several innovative solutions for sustainable urban logistics were presented, including digital curbside management tools, urban micro-hubs for freight consolidation and last-mile delivery models based on cargo bikes and zero-emission vehicles.

The exchange highlighted a number of common lessons emerging from the different pilots, particularly the importance of stakeholder engagement, the role of monitoring and data in evaluating impacts, and the need to integrate these solutions into broader urban mobility and logistics policies.
